The DRAGIN Drilling design team produced the first string
of true 24-inch outside diameter augers. Our rigs, which
were specifically designed to accommodate the size of
this auger, have all the retract power necessary to
straight-pull the tools. And like our rigs, these are not your
typical augers - they are what we call a Dual Auger
Abrasion System. The abrasion factor eliminates
borehole smearing. The auger factor eliminates leachate
or heave problems and optimizes the uniformity and
placement of the gravel pack. The end result is a more
effective drilling method with a more efficient vent well.
