WAREHAM, MA, ISSUED JULY 26, 2000…DRAGIN Drilling, a full-service company that provides environmental, geotechnical, construction, landfill and water supply drilling services, has posted a 33% increase in sales for their fiscal year ending June 30. The 13-person firm, which was founded in November 1996, ended their recent fiscal year with overall sales of $2 million, up from $1.5 million for the previous fiscal year.

Sales increase tied to additional clients and expanded services; firm added a Residential Well Division to company offerings

Carrie Collins, the firm's president, attributed the increase to additional client demands and expanded services offered by the company. In particular, the company provided specialized services for the Central Artery Tunnel Project, the Massachusetts Military Reservation Superfund Project on Cape Cod, the MWRA (Massachusetts Water Resources Authority) Metrowest Tunnel Project, the Niagara Falls Chemical Remediation Project, and the Bourne Landfill Project.

Additionally, the firm expanded its scope of services in several areas, including the development and implementation of a proprietary 24-inch hollow-stem auger, allowing for the installation of larger diameter wells, in particular, gas vent wells. DRAGIN Drilling also recently implemented a Residential Well Division to expand its offerings to include residential drinking water and irrigation wells.

"This last year has been an exciting one for us, and we look forward to continued expansion over this coming year, as we continue to increase the scope and nature of the services that we can provide," Collins said. She added, "We are very pleased at both the innovations that our design and research/development people have come up with, and the clients we have been able to assist."

DRAGIN Drilling is a SOMWBA-Certified, Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) drilling company.
